16.04.2025

In our second video of the #IntroducingOneSTOP series, we focus on the detection pillar. Led by Aarhus University, this work package prioritises the development of methods for rapid detection of invasive species. If you are curious to learn more, watch Toke Høye’s interview, where he gives a detailed explanation of the central role in advancing OneSTOP’s efforts to improve the identification and monitoring of invasive alien species across Europe:

The detection pillar focuses on delivering timely, reliable, and repeatable data, using a combination of emerging technologies and harmonised methodologies. From remote sensing and camera traps to eDNA and AI-assisted image recognition, OneSTOP is building an integrated approach to strengthen Europe’s early warning and rapid response systems. This includes creating reference materials and deploying innovative tools through co-designed workflows in Living Labs across the continent.
