OneSTOP will take part in the Living Data Conference
The Living Data Conference will take place from 21–24 October 2025 in Bogotá, Colombia, bringing together biodiversity networks, researchers, and practitioners worldwide to advance standards, promote interoperability, and measure progress towards conserving and restoring biodiversity.
As part of the event, OneSTOP will contribute to numerous sessions, including:
-
“Long Live Biodiversity Data: Knowledge Transfer and Continuity Across Research Projects” (Session ID 6788879) which will be held on 22 October from 10:45 AM. The session will explore how research data can remain impactful beyond project lifespans through open data, effective science communication and international collaboration. You can see more about OneSTOP’s presentation here.
-
“Invasive Alien Species data: state of the art, challenges and a way forward” (Session ID 6799115) will take place on 24 October from 10:45 AM. Co-organisers of the session are Quentin Groom, OneSTOP’s coordinator, Lien Reyserhove and Andrew Rodrigues. The session will focus on improving interoperability and monitoring data for invasive alien species.
In addition, attendees of the conference can get familiar with OneSTOP by consulting the printed materials, which will be presented at the venue.
Registration for both in-person and virtual attendance is still open.
This year, the event will focus on three main themes:
-
Building standards that promote data sharing and interoperability
-
Bringing together and providing access to diverse sources of information
-
Monitoring the progress towards conserving and restoring the planet’s biodiversity.
