New video explains Living Labs and how they contribute to OneSTOP’s aims

In this edition of #IntroducingOneSTOP, Katharina Dehnen-Schmutz and Alex Franklin from Coventry University focus on OneSTOP’s Living Labs and how their activities contribute to the results of the project. 

OneSTOP has established five Living Labs across Europe to support the co-creation of innovative invasive alien species (IAS) detection and monitoring technologies with practitioners. Four of the Living Labs - in Portugal, Romania, Belgium and the UK have already started work, and the fifth one in Finland will have its kick-off meeting on 14 August 2025. 



The Living Labs aim to engage local stakeholders and the public by testing the technologies developed for IAS detection and monitoring and providing feedback that will help improve their usability. In this way, the Living Labs will allow stakeholders to understand the key issues of the project and contribute to their solution. Some of the Living Labs (Portugal, UK) have already received the first IAS detection technologies
