Romania Living Lab Second Meeting Showcases the CamAlien System and the Sentinel Gardens Approach
On 14th of November 2025, the Romania Living Lab held its second meeting at Ovidius University of Constanța, bringing together the OneSTOP Living Lab community for a full day of interactive discussions and hands-on activities.
The workshop focused on the CamAlien system, with participants taking part in camera testing sessions and contributing to thematic working groups. Alongside the core members, the event welcomed new stakeholders interested in joining the Living Lab community. Their participation enriched the dialogue, introducing new perspectives and expanding the network that supports the development of OneSTOP technologies. Participants also received an introduction to Sentinel Gardens, a community-driven and nature-based approach for the early detection of invasive alien species. Discussions highlighted the potential of these gardens to act as observatories while raising awareness among local communities and encouraging active involvement in biodiversity monitoring.
