Upcoming scientific exchange will focus on strengthening Invasive Alien Species (IAS) data management
Just ahead of the Living Data 2025 Conference, OneSTOP members will take part in the meeting “Data Management of Invasive Alien Species: Exchange of Local Needs and Global Challenges”. It will focus on strengthening Invasive Alien Species (IAS) data management.
The event will take place on 20 October from 8 AM (Colombian time) at the National University of Colombia, Bogota, in Spanish and in English. For the first part of the event, participants can register and join in person; or follow the event online through Zoom without the need for prior registration. The second part of the event, in the afternoon, will offer only an in-person option.
The meeting will bring together Colombian and European IAS experts along with Colombian stakeholders to address shared challenges in data sharing and promote collaborative solutions. Among the speakers are Lien Reyserhove, who leads OneSTOP’s work on streamlining workflows to reduce delays in data sharing and enhancing data harmonisation; and Cristina Preda, who leads the project’s Living Lab in Romania and the work on creating a blueprint to enhance how the IAS Regulation is applied across Europe.
